Christopher Magallon has been established as a teacher in the Encinitas area since 1980. He began early studies at the age of nine with Frank Maglioco, Chair of the Music Department at Citrus College. Further studies for eight years were with Steven Gordon, who had studied with the famed Russian master, Sergei Tarnowsky, teacher and mentor of Vladimer Horowitz. Steven Gordon performed at the Hollywood Bowl at the age of nine and again, thirteen, to eventually establish a very successful career as a concert pianist (Columbia Artists). As a pianist (just to list a few) Christopher Magallon has been the district pianist for the San Juan Capistrano Unified School District, Royal Academy of Dance pianist, and played for the opening ceremonies at the Escondido Center for Performing Arts.
